Iron Test:
Haemoglobin is the iron-containing protein attached to the red blood cells that transport oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. Either high or low levels of haemoglobin can be an indication of certain disease conditions.
Very high iron levels can also be very dangerous and should be checked. An Iron test involves a small sample of blood being taken from the patient. The sample is then tested to determine the patient’s haemoglobin levels.
