The Leukosan Wound Closure Strips are made of a permeable fabric and allows the skin to breathe without moisture collecting under the strip. The skin-friendly adhesive keeps the dressing securely in place and reduces the risk of skin irritation. The strips have round edges and curved polyamide threads which prevents rucking and allows the dressing to expand and contract to accommodate oedema, without the risk of blistering.

How to use?

• Ensure that the wound has been cleaned and is fully dry.
• Peel away the backing.
• With a forceps, take one of the Leukosan Wound Closure Strips, and put one edge on a side of the wound – making sure it is going right across the wound.
• Simply place the strip down.
• Ensure that the wound is squeezed together tightly, and the strip is securely in place.
• Do not apply the Leukosan Wound Closure Strips under pressure, as blistering may occur.
• Place the wound closure strips approximately 3mm apart.
• To reduce tension or stress, add the strips parallel to the wound.
• In case of skin irritation or inflammation, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
